A statement on behalf of the NPC

It has come to our notice that certain misinformation regarding the status of The National Pensioners Convention (NPC) has been circulating and is causing some confusion across the board.

The Board of Directors of the NPC wish to state that the Company Limited by Guarantee is currently consulting with our membership on moving forward into an appropriate democratic structure.

In the meantime, we are working with our partners on issues relevant to the rights of older people and engaging with parliamentary bodies.

Whilst we are not able to undertake all the work we used to, the NPC is live, we are not closed down and we continue to ensure that older people’s voices are heard.

The purveyor of the misinformation has been contacted and asked to ensure that all sources are made aware that the misinformation must not be carried on into the future.

Any information that you see, hear or receive stating incorrectly that the NPC does not exist should be reported to the General Secretary.
