Today, Thursday, 8th May 2025 marks 80 years since Victory in Europe and the beginning of the end of World War 2.

It is a time to commemorate the end of a terrible war in Europe, and to celebrate the precious peace that it won for us all over the past eight decades.

Importantly it is a time to reflect, and to remember all those who made the greatest sacrifice and didn't return. At 12noon today there will be two minutes silence across the UK in memory of those we lost.
