The 1st February marks Dignity Action Day. It is an annual opportunity for health and social care workers, and members of the public to uphold people's rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for people who use care services.
But the day is also much more than this. Dignity is needed in work and dignity is needed in retirement. Dignity is about having enough income to be able to look after yourself properly, a decent home, nutritious food, making your own choices whatever your ability.
